Its time for the final races of the year (Apart from Hamsterley!)
Who would like to join myself (& Martin I Beleive?!?) for a days racing at Bringewood (Ludlow) - on the 16/10/05, for the final round of the Southern Super Series ?
If anyone is interested?? Then let me know & I will sort entry forms for everyone.

Oh crap, didn't realise Ludlow was also Bringewood.
Fraid I wont be racing as its a shit route to get there and I know it aint my sorta course.
Too much wiggling round trees for my liking,.
I'm only going to race where I fancy from now on.Decided petrol and entries are too much now to put a lot of effort into mediocre weekends.
I want value for my dollar.

I want to go race but main concern is wrecking my nice new bike..... on the uplift! Any suggestions for bike protection?

well whats gonna happen if/when you crash?
Wrap it in cotton wool?
Everybody is in the same boat and race bikes generally look terrible but work really well.Just check out Weightmans Brooklyn or Warners Giaint.

A) completely off topic B) how stupid is that post, you cant justify comparing UNAVOIDABLE damage(crashing) to AVOIDABLE damage eg:sending a new bike on an uplift unprotected while other people sling their already knackered bikes ontop of it (if there are clever ways of protecting the bike that people on this forum have come up with based on thier experiences) C) i dont have enough cotton wool to cover the bike, any other bright ideas?lol! D) did you post that jus to try get on my tits so you can practice posting smart assed replys to what i put. E) have a nice day. ;D

Erm......no.Uplift damage is pretty much unavoidable.Unless of course you dont use the uplift. Everyone tries to keep their bike scratch and chip free at first,of course they do, but you can only delay the inevitable. I didn't really think you were serious with your post but you were weren't you! How you gonna protect your bike? If you were thinking of wrapping protection round it then surely you'd have to ride down with it on?This is prone to coming undone/off and causing problems. If you were thinking of some sort of cover for the uplift then when you got back to top with it on you'd end up leaving it at top and it wouldn't be at bottom for your next uplift! Protecting your bike is not really practical.Thats why no one does it. You're in the same boat as everyone else I'm afraid. You just gotta accept that through racing, your bike is gonna pick up some scars along the way.
