Good Afternoon All!! Well, the weekend has now been and gone! I have to say, the Midland boys know how to put on a race!! (Apart from the delay in all the tractors on race day! ) In all, 7 Tractors arrived to help with uplift & a constant flow of riders were taken up the hill each day with an average waiting time of around 10-15mins for uplift. The CourseA bit damp on a moring with the dew but good! Starting with a short blast over some single track (rutted in places) to a small jump onto a fireroad, up a banking on the otherside of the fire road, again with a small tabletop style jump back onto a fire road, then a 6-8ft double with a tricky run in to get into the wooded section! Tree Stumps galore are to follow!! with a few tree roots thrown in for good measure! (These tree roots really tested my Dianese & Bodyarmour!) a couple of cheecky straight line jumps over the roots & stumps brought you to a tight chicane around a large tree stump, a short sprint through some DRY peat!!! and then a slope onto the fireroad crossing & a small drop-in off the fireroad, left hand berm followed by a short pedal to next mound of tree stumps and roots. a very interesting right/left over two large tree roots, with a question of which line to take , there must have been 5 or 6 different lines to take here! the course then staightened up again & headed towards the gully, where dropped into twice (once from either side) then a straight section (No Brakes!) over an off camber drop & large (For Mark anyway! ;D) jump into the final field! a group of 3 berms (right-left-right) a small jump then through the final VERY SLIPPY corner & Over the finish line! first run times were - Tim 2:25 & Mark 2:36 (With a couple of falls) Second run times - Tim 2:23 & Mark had injured his knee in the first run so he sat out the 2nd run and decided to just cheer instead!! A good weekend, an OK fun course & a good laugh! I dont think Ive missed any info out ? Have I Mark ?

I think most winter series start in Jan i.e. Midlands, wet and wild.

I'm well up for some more races! Midlands Winter Series Sounds good! As for the race at PORC, never been there Does anyone know what the course is like ? I thought that area was a 4X race site, rather than downhill ?
