1. Cyclo cross bikes are faster than mtb's across Ilkley moor. 2. Specialized socks are crap! 3. I need a slightly bigger block....say just two teeth bigger. 4. you get a lot of fork judder on steep stuff!(scarey amounts!) 5. The wooden slats are easy going down and don't exist coming back up! 6. My back will ache after the peaks! 7. Apparently I ride like Roger Hammond(according to some random fell runner(my little ego bless him just exploded there and then!)) 8. If the route I did is tougher than the peaks as Dan says it is.......then I just bet Rob Jebb!!(I assume therefore.....that Dan was wrong!) ;D 9. You get punctures on cross tyres. 10. Everybody realises you're training for the peaks when they see you on a cross bike at this time of year!(3 people asked me if that's why I was out on it!!Bizarre) 11.my training route is 20 miles(mostly off road)with 3000 feet of climbing.(proving that Dan was wrong) 12.I have boundless inner reserves of mental strength!! 13. My thumb is gonna blister if I don't tape it up soon! 14. Despite telling myself I wont............I find myself running with the bike!! 15. I think I'm gonna be aggressive come race day! (nothing to do with testosterone!!)REMEMBER KIDS>>>>>>>>ONLY DOPES DOPE!!!!!!( and all the tour riders of course!!)lol
